Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops are increasingly capable, acing our cleaning tests and tackling different types of floors. Find models that allow you to choose from a variety of modes, and use their charging docks to self-empty and clean up the stairs.
A lot of the top models work with smartphones. Look for an application that lets you save maps, set schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos available on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate, creating maps of rooms and floors.
When I tested the S1, it was quick to identify our downstairs, which is home to linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus carpeting with a medium-pile and an area rug. It was capable of driving up to walls and even over raised thresholds without any problems. However it was a bit difficult getting down the stairs in one step. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. Its mop moved smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it came to carpets or rugs.
The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and replenishes its water tank on board with clean, ozonated water prior to each mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water for deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough for about 12 cleaning sessions before it needs to be empty, but this will vary depending the amount you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to keep it working well. To do this, you'll need to rinse out the water tank that is dirty regularly to avoid it from clogging. You'll also need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors frequently to avoid them from getting clogged by dust or dirt. But, overall the S1 is simple to maintain, especially when compared to other models that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a great choice for cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8700Pa suction power, and comes with a variety of innovative features including voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and eliminates obstacles. The mopping feature is remarkable, with mops rotating that actually lift and scrub the floor as opposed to just drag the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned and dried at the base station, as needed.
This robot combo has an easy interface that guides you through the process. It includes a hand vacuum that recharges for those areas that the robot can't reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically empty and refilled as needed. It comes with a range of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum cleaner. It has a strong suction which can easily remove dirt and other debris that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty robust, however it is sometimes hung in the small carpets or area mats that I have in my home (which is something you can mitigate by creating a virtual boundary in the application). The mopping capabilities are quite good as well, with two spinning mop pads that actually lift and scrub floors instead of simply dragging the pad over it. The mops can be cleaned using heated water and dried in the basestation as required. The mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. However, their latest flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It is a great cleaner, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a contender for our list of the best mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush ensure a thorough, customized clean is achieved.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests efficiently by avoiding pet hairs as well as other dirt. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that automatically moves out to tackle difficult-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble it can navigate through small spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can move from one area to another without reversing direction it is a useful feature for homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than its competitors however, and tends to leave a thick margin over obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The app's interface is intuitive and well-organized. It should be easy to use by both novice and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleanings, adjust suction power and mopping settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You'll need a stable WiFi connection to run the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of removing dirt and debris, but it can't always get every last bit of dust. It's essential to clean your home regularly, once a week. This is especially important for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mops, is designed to accomplish this. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network, and integrates with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more useful addition to your daily cleaning routine.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, including the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. My Source uses the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but it saves cost by eliminating mopping functions and using a less expensive plastic body.
The Q5 is one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping machines we've seen in this price range, despite not being able to wipe your floor. It's got a powerful suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, which means you don't need to manually empty the bin every time. It comes with a smart app that lets you schedule cleanings and determine the floor type. It also comes with an automatic water tank filling and washing system that is hands-free.
Its mops are also impressive, with a 2700Pa power to combat pet hair and dirt on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is among the few robots we test that didn't have trouble with high-pile carpets and area rugs, but it couldn't remove kitty litter or cable tangles, which is no surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. updated blog post Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also uses a unique mapping system that allows it to reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums can't. It also stores dust in a bigger dustbin that means you have to empty it less often. It also has washable filters, which further reduces costs. The robot can recognize carpets, and increase suction if necessary. The app allows you to mark off areas that you want it to avoid and is a great feature.
